No. Montu is designed for marketers, founders, and agency teams — not developers. Adding a website takes 2 minutes. Pilot handles the technical parts (crawling, API connections, structured generation) automatically. The only technical step is optional: connecting WordPress or Shopify for auto-publishing.

You're taken to your dashboard. Add a website URL. Pilot will start a crawl, pull your sitemap, and suggest a keyword plan. From there, you can generate content manually by type, or turn on full Pilot automation to have everything run hands-free on a monthly schedule.

Yes. Each website has a brand-tone setting you configure when you add the site. You can set the writing style (professional, conversational, persuasive), the target audience, and keywords to prioritise. Pilot uses these settings across every content type it generates for that site.

Yes. Content lands in your dashboard in a 'Ready' state — you can review, edit, or approve before it goes live. With Pilot in full-auto mode, content publishes on your chosen schedule. You can pause publishing at any time without stopping generation.

Montu supports multi-language content out of the box. Each language track is generated from native search intent — not translated from English. You can run multiple language tracks simultaneously from one dashboard.

Montu Pilot is the hands-free automation layer. Set monthly targets per content type (e.g. 20 articles, 10 product descriptions, 30 social posts) plus a daily publishing rate. On the 1st of each month, Pilot generates the full batch, runs a fresh audit, and drip-publishes to your site and channels on the daily schedule you set. You never need to touch the dashboard.

Site content goes to WordPress and Shopify via REST API. Social content is generated for Facebook, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and TikTok — ready to copy or auto-schedule. Ads Pilot generates audience and budget specs for Meta and Google campaigns. Custom webhook integration is available for other CMSs.

Instead of dumping 20 articles live at once (which looks spammy to search engines), Montu spaces them out across the month based on your daily quota. A daily quota of 1 article means one piece ships each day, building consistent crawl signals without triggering penalties.

Every action in Montu costs a flat number of tokens: articles cost 10–25 tokens depending on length, social posts cost 5, audits cost 50, keyword research costs 5 per keyword. Your plan gives you a monthly token budget. When you run out, you can top up in $5 increments at 40 tokens per dollar.

Every new account gets free tokens on signup — enough to run a full generation flow (an article, social posts, and keyword research). No credit card required. After you've used them you can subscribe to continue.

Yes. No long-term contracts, no cancellation fees. Cancel from your account settings. Your plan stays active until the end of the billing period, then closes without auto-renewal.

Your content, websites, and analytics stay in read-only mode for 30 days after cancellation so you can export anything you need. After 30 days, data is permanently deleted. Export your content from the dashboard before cancelling if you want to keep it.

Only you. WordPress/Shopify API keys are stored encrypted in our database and never shown in plain text in the UI after initial entry. Our staff cannot read them. They are only used server-side to push published content to your CMS.

Yes. Your website data, generated content, keyword strategy, and analytics are private to your account. We do not use your data to train AI models. Content is generated fresh per request and is not shared between accounts.

On Neon (managed Postgres) hosted in AWS eu-central-1 (Frankfurt). All data is encrypted at rest. Connections are encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3). We do not store payment card data — billing is handled by Paddle, a PCI-compliant payment processor.
